Winter Depression 58-70oN Homepage

Welcome to the Winter Depression 58-70oN homepage.

Here we present the Winter Depression Research Group
and report preliminary findings. Winter Depression
58-70oN
is a cross-disciplinary, collaborative research
project. We utilize Norway as a natural research
laboratory
to study associations between natural daylight
variations and seasonal affective disorder (SAD),
depression, subjective well-being/quality of life, eating
disturbances, sexual interest, sleep disturbances, personality
traits, cognitive performance, and light treatment.

Winter Depression 58-70oN is approved by The
Norwegian Data Inspectorate and The Ethical Committee for
Medical Research in Health Region V (Northern Norway).
